Redesigning the Boss TV Apps
Boss TV is a platform where users can watch more than 11,000 live streams from around the world with subscription packages in multiple languages. The platform provides an interactive viewing experience that allows users to easily buy onscreen products without leaving the app, making it a great option for watching live TV on the go.
However, to compete in the crowded streaming services market, the company needed to uplevel the visual design and usability of its mobile and TV apps. For help creating a visually appealing, minimalist interface and a user experience that requires limited bandwidth to keep the apps running quickly, Boss TV reached out to Impekable.
The Solution
When Boss TV first approached our team, their engineers had already developed and designed their platform’s initial mobile and TV apps. But they were looking for an external partner who could provide support enhancing both their visual design and overall user experience.
Rapid Prototyping with Adobe XD
Impekable utilized Adobe XD to redesign the mobile and tablet Boss TV apps, using rapid prototyping to showcase user experience enrichments throughout the project’s progression.
Regular Cross-Team Collaboration
To facilitate this progress — and to meet Boss TV’s ambitious timeline — Impekable held weekly meetings to review prototypes and wireframes between Boss TV stakeholders and Impekable’s project manager, designer, and developers.
Early Successes Lead to Project Expansion
As the project neared completion, Boss TV was so pleased with Impekable’s design capabilities that they expanded the project’s scope to include a webpage that mirrored the apps’ design.
Impekable utilized Webflow to design the page, executing it in just 48 hours including custom code and animations.
The Results
Both Twilio and its users appreciate the additional information Impekable’s Status Page provides, as well as its sleekly modern design and intuitive interface. In fact, our work on the project was so successful that Impekable was engaged by New Relic to update their Status Page as well.
